At Torpet you live simply and spartanly on two cozy floors, you have your own small yard with limited visibility.
There is no running water here, but in the summer there is an outdoor shower. You make your visits to a classic and fresh outdoor toilet with poor reception, so it is well equipped with plenty of toilet literature.
The outdoor environment also offers barbecue areas, a fire pit, a sink and of course garden furniture where you can hang out well into the wee hours if the mosquitoes don't chase you inside.
Inside the cottage you are heated by an air heat pump, a kitchen stove and a small heater.
On the ground floor there is a rustic and very simple kitchen with a wood stove, microwave and two electric hotplates for simpler cooking. The kitchen has a cozy little dining area with antique furniture in classic Dala paintings.
On the same floor there is a small, simple porch and a hall with hanging space. The living room has a sofa bed that converts into a double bed (140cm) and a small TV. There is also space to make up extra beds if needed.
Up a narrow and steep staircase you reach the cozy upper floor. Here there is a hall with two 90cm beds and the possibility of making out another smaller travel bed. Upstairs there is also a bedroom with a 160cm double bed and two sleeping alcoves where you can crawl in and sleep cozy like in a hut. These measure approximately 80cm in width.
Of course, animals are welcome in Torpet as long as they are housebroken. Since Torpet is located on a horse farm, cats roam the farm and horses are right around the corner.
You bring your own bed linen and towels, we also recommend comfortable slippers as the Torpet floor does not offer any underfloor heating. Before you go home, you clean with the cleaning supplies that we provide. The Torpet is left in a condition that both you and it can be proud of.
The croft is just that - a croft. It is cozy and convivial and invites a sense of calm and the opportunity to stop and breathe for a while far from the stress of everyday life. It is perfect for late night games with candles lit and early morning walks around the village. It doesn't exactly have any grand modern amenities, there are no robot vacuum cleaners here and Alexa can't answer you when you call. There are only 6 power sockets in total, two downstairs and one upstairs. However, you can hear the horses dumping outside the window, a snort as they graze and a neighing when we drive one of them out - perhaps with you as a guest in the carriage?
Here you can't surf at top speed or run a team meeting that doesn't lag. Instead, you can let the cats in and cuddle with them, put fresh flowers in the windows that you pick in the meadows, get spices directly from the pallet collars and keep the door unlocked all night without the risk of unwanted visitors.
Welcome to Torpet!
